Used on hundreds of worksites across the world, MRWS are used to protect workers in track areas from approaching trains. This flexibly makes it possible to provide the best track safety solution for every worksite.

When a track vehicle approaches a worksite protected by a MRWS, the Autoprowa® system warns people in the track area with a warning signal that has been automatically adjusted to suit the ambient noise level. Warning lights remain active until the hazard is cleared from the system.

The modular set-up of Zoellner’s MRWS provides maximum flexibility, while the SIL-4 certified warning devices guarantee maximum safety.

Lookout Operated Warning System

Lookout Operated Warning System (LOWS)

Lookouts use a manual hand-switch to activate the warning. The warning is then issued on site by a mobile ZPW worn in a harness.

Once the hazard has passed, the warning is then cancelled by a LOWS Controller.

Semi Automatic Track Warning System

Semi Automatic Track Warning System (SATWS)

Trains are automatically detected using an inductive F500-SEN train detector in combination with a F500-AB junction box. Once the sensor detects a train, the ZÖLLNER Radio Transmitter (ZFS) sends a transmission to all warning units and horns sounding the alarm.

Once the train leaves the work area, an operator manually clears the hazard from the system.

Automatic Track Warning System

Automatic Track Warning System (ATWS)

Like the Semi Automatic Warning System, trains are automatically detected as they pass the strike in point (F500-SEN) before sounding the alarm.

The Automatic Track Warning System makes use of a second F500-SEN as a strike out point, clearing the warning automatically 8 seconds after the last axle clears the sensor.
